What does IV May Creations offer?

We create beautiful cake decorations, including artificial flower arrangements, personalised cake toppers, cake ribbons and wedding finishing touches for birthdays, weddings, baby showers and other special occasions.

What is the personalisation box used for on cake decoration listings?

Please use the personalisation box to tell us the date you need your order by, as well as any wording, name, age or other details required for your decoration. This helps us make sure your order is created correctly and dispatched in time for your celebration.

Can I personalise my order?

Yes. Many of our products can be personalised with names, ages, dates or your own wording. Please check the product description and personalisation box carefully before ordering, as personalised items are made especially for you.

Can I request a different colour?

We offer a range of colour options across our collections. If you have a particular colour scheme in mind, please get in touch before ordering and we will always do our best to help.

Will the colours look exactly the same as the photos?

We photograph our products as accurately as possible, but colours can look slightly different depending on your screen and may vary a little between batches of flowers, ribbon or materials.

How long will my order take to be dispatched?

Most orders are handmade to order and have a dispatch time of up to 7 working days. Please check the individual product listing for the most accurate information, especially for larger or more detailed orders.

Do you offer rush orders?

If you need something sooner, please contact us before placing your order. If we have space to help, we will let you know which delivery options are available. We cannot guarantee delivery dates once an order has been handed to Royal Mail.

Are the cake flowers food safe?

Our artificial cake flowers and decorations are not edible. We recommend using posy picks or another suitable food-safe barrier between stems and the cake. Please take care to remove all decorations before serving.

Can I use the cake flowers myself?

Absolutely. Our flowers are designed to make cake styling easier, whether you are making a cake at home or are a professional cake maker. You can arrange them as shown, or trim and place them to suit your own design.

How do I attach the flowers to my cake?

Our artificial cake flowers are supplied with wired stems. We recommend placing each stem into a food-safe posy pick or floral pick, then inserting the pick into the cake. This keeps the wire away from the cake itself while allowing you to arrange the flowers exactly where you would like them. For a little extra security, the flowers can also be supported with a small amount of icing or royal icing.

What is the difference between a side spray, bottom spray, trim/garland and topper?

A side spray is designed to sit on the side or front edge of your cake.

A bottom spray sits around the base of the cake, creating a fuller floral feature at the bottom.

A trim or garland is a longer arrangement designed to trail around the cake or follow the edge between tiers. A topper is a smaller arrangement made to sit on top of the cake, often alongside a cake topper or candles.

How do I attach my acrylic or wooden name/number charm?

Simply place the charm gently against the side of your iced cake. Use a small amount of edible glue, royal icing or buttercream on the back to secure it in place. For the best finish, attach your charm once the cake is fully iced and chilled, just before displaying or serving.

What does the “Complete Set” option include?

The Complete Set includes all of the matching floral decorations shown on the cake in the listing image. This may include a topper arrangement, side spray, bottom spray, gypsophila bunch, and any additional flower or foliage pieces shown. Please refer to the listing photographs, as the exact pieces included may vary slightly between designs.

I need my cake flowers by a certain date—what should I do?

All of our cake flowers are handmade to order, with a standard processing time of up to 7 days before dispatch. If you need your order by a particular date, especially at short notice, please message us before ordering to check that we can accommodate it. Adding a required date in the personalisation box does not automatically make an order a rush order or guarantee earlier dispatch. We will always try to help where possible. However, if an order is placed for a date we have not agreed to and we are fully booked, we may need to cancel and refund the order.

Why has my order been cancelled?

We are very sorry if this happens. Orders are only cancelled in rare circumstances, such as:

1. An unagreed rush order: the required date was not discussed with us before ordering and, due to our current workload, we are unable to make and dispatch it in time.

2. A pricing error: occasionally an incorrect price may appear while listings are being updated or transferred. If this happens, we may need to cancel and fully refund the order rather than charge you an incorrect amount. If your order is cancelled, you will receive a full refund.

What is your returns policy?

We accept returns for non-personalised cake decorations within 7 days of delivery. Please contact us within this time if you wish to return an item.

Are personalised items refundable?

As personalised items are made especially for you, they are non-refundable unless there has been a mistake on our part or an item arrives faulty.

Are custom orders refundable?

Custom orders are non-refundable, as they are created specifically to your agreed requirements. We send photographs during the design process, so that details such as colours, wording and overall style can be checked and agreed before your order is completed.

Are edible prints refundable?

For food-hygiene reasons, edible icing sheets and wafer paper prints are non-refundable. Please check all personalisation details, images and spelling carefully before placing your order. This does not affect your rights if an item arrives damaged, faulty or incorrect.
